topics: clinical chemistry and analytical methods (world trends, number of analyses, instruments). the specifity of biological samples (matrix effects, interferences and stability of the main analytes). drawing, transport and storage conditions of biological samples. the compatibility of reaction media with biological sample and analyte to be determined. the examples for developing and performing analytical methods for the determination of ions, enzymes, substrates, proteins and lipids. automation in clinical chemistry, standards, control materials, internal and external quality control.

topics: colourness, basics of theory and examples of applications: basical indicator reactions (azocoupling, oxidative coupling. immunoanalytical chemistry: classification of the methods; competitive and noncompetitive modes, homogenic and heterogenic methods. analytical importance of nucleic acids, structure and properties, target NA sequence. PCR and its utilization for patogenic, forensic, prenatal diagnostics. analysis of proteins: spectrophotometrical methods, basics of mass spectrometric approaches and enzymatic analysis.
